Golden Corral Celebrates 22-Year Tradition, Raises Over $900,000 for Disabled American Veterans

America’s leading buffet restaurant hosts annual Military Appreciation Night and nationwide fundraiser

Raleigh, NC  (  For the past 22 years, Golden Corral has supported United States military members who serve our country through its annual Military Appreciation Night.

As a way to honor America’s military heroes, Golden Corral continued its annual tradition on Monday, Nov. 14, by serving a complimentary “thank you” meal to all current U.S. service members, retired military and veterans. In the weeks leading up to Veterans Day, the brand raised funds through guest contributions for DAV, a nonprofit that provides lifetime support for veterans of all generations and their families.

Golden Corral’s Military Appreciation Night this year raised over $900,000 for DAV and served over 158,000 free meals to our service members, retired military and veterans. The endless buffet also offered its holiday menu full of ultimate comfort fan-favorite food items, which is still available until Jan. 8, 2023.

“We are honored to continue one our most treasured traditions and show our appreciation for our military personnel’s bravery, service and sacrifice,” said Golden Corral President and CEO Lance Trenary. “To serve them a free meal annually and make them feel at home is a privilege for us, and we look forward to next year’s Military Appreciation Night.”

Since its national inception in 2001, Golden Corral’s Military Appreciation Night has served over 6.25 million complimentary meals to military personnel and generated nearly $18.5 million to support community-based service initiatives for veterans through DAV.

Golden Corral’s legendary, endless buffet features an abundant variety of quality, made-from-scratch food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Guests can choose from over 100 items, including USDA grilled-to-order steaks, pork, seafood and shrimp alongside traditional favorites like pot roast, fried chicken, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, fresh salads and more.
